Members Survey (Caring for our Country)
This survey is part of a Caring For Our Country funded extension pilot project that SFS is running during 2008/09. The information obtained will remain confidential and will be stored on a purpose built SFS database. The survey is designed to obtain information from SFS members on a range of topics including farm demographics, production mix, enterprise costs and returns, practices and NRM.
This information will be available to members at an aggregate level (probably post code and region) after the survey is completed to allow for use as benchmarking data. SFS will also use the data in seeking further funds for R&D projects and to quantify what is happening across our membership base.
Payment
A survey fee of $35 is available upon the return of the survey. You will need to provide the relevant payment details at the end of the survey. The survey needs to be returned to SFS by fax (03 5229 4426) by Friday 1
st May.How to fill in the survey
The survey is designed to take about 25
]30 minutes to complete. We are looking for trends and changes/intentions as well as the current enterprise details. DONT worry if the figures you provide are estimates as we donft require decimal place accuracy for most of the data items.If you cannot provide a response for certain items that relate to your enterprise just continue to fill in the remainder of the form and return to SFS. The figures provided should be based on the expected 2008/09 farm outcome.
